The Resort at Pelican Hill | Lala & Darrell

We have been so fortunate to be able to be a part of so many of Lala's family events that when it came time to help her plan and design her art deco inspired wedding day to Darrell, we were absolutely overjoyed. A few days leading up to the event, the forecast threatened to foil all our plans of an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We decided to go with Plan B - which in this case, was something that was never done at the iconic Pelican Hill Lawn - tenting. Town and Country built this spectacular clear top tent and strung twinkle lights to the ceiling, while Revelry Event Design draped the sides with gold and black fabric. We added chandeliers all down the aisle, which Marks Garden embellished with floral cuffs. During the ceremony, West Coast Music provided a string quartet which played contemporary songs for the bridal party to walk down the aisle to from John Legend to Bruno Mars. 

The rain never came that day so guests were able to mingle during the cocktail reception on the upper patio and as the sun went down, the tent shone in the night. Lala and Darrell ended the cocktail hour by sabering a champagne bottle and pouring it over a champange tower.
